Client:  The Derwent Group - liverpool shopping park

Brief:    Local, regional & trade media relations and stakeholder engagement

Story Comms was appointed by The Derwent Group in March 2016 to raise the profile of its £100m transformation of Edge Lane Retail Park into Liverpool Shopping Park.  Set to be on the of the UK"s largest shopping and leisure destinations once complete, the PR has focused on really bringing the scale of the scheme to life.

Story’s activity has centred on media relations  (including media one-to-ones, site tours and news announcements) as well as stakeholder engagement and issues management.   Extensive media coverage has told the story of the scheme’s development - using construction milestones as well as new imagery and build footage to excite residents and commuters about what’s to come.  We've also worked closely with a number of the city's business and civic leaders, including Mayor Joe Anderson,  to capture their excitement for the scheme on film and to garner their support.

With completion of phase 1 due in Autumn this year, Story is now preparing for the consumer launch of Liverpool Shopping Park.

“Story has been a huge asset to the Liverpool Shopping Park development to date.  They have helped to define a clear PR strategy for the development and launch and have been essential in building up stakeholder relations in and around Liverpool.  Helen is extremely helpful and delivers above and beyond her remit, plus she is great to work with.  I certainly have every faith that Story will get the job done and deliver results.” Michelle Atack, Marketing Manager, The Derwent Group
